Paloma Madrid choreographer
Born on November 12, 1974, in Valparaiso, Chile. She live in Stockholm, Sweden since she was 3 years old. Paloma Madrid was from 2008 - 2011 artitic director, choreographer and collaboration founder to Botkyrka community theatre & dance tha has had a profound impact on the field. 2012 she starts her own site specific based dancecompany, in a suburb called Fisksätra, outside Stockholm.
Since she left the university of Dance & Circus 2004 she has been working with choreography, dance, collaboration works and curating. From 2005 -2007 she was curating the Underground goes overground festival at MDT, Stockholm, Sweden.
In 2008 Paloma focused almost exclusively on communitydance - choreography work. Based on her new experimental choreographic method the political - body. She made dance for apartment, artwalks, soluret i Alby, jag virkar revir, vita pumps performing some of them around Sweden, Denmark and Holland. The birth of Dance for apartment was recently portrayed in the documentary film Everything is dance. 2010 she choreographed Market a solo performance by Deborah Hay.
